Pulau Hantu

Reef Walk @ Pulau Hantu
Pualu Hantu has one of the most pristine coral reefs in Singapore and is a popular dive site. When the tide pulls out, these beautiful reefs become walkable, for us to examine up close a plethora of intertidal lifeforms. Marvel at an incredible variety of reef-building Hard Corals; leathery and flowery Soft Corals; branching and spherical Sponges with some hosting Brittle Stars; Carpet and Magnificent Anemones inhabited by the occasional Clownfish (‘Nemo’); Giant Clams; as well as pretty fishes, eels, crabs and shrimps swimming in the shallows. On the exposed sandflats, we can find many species of Molluscs, Conches, Bivalves, Sea Stars (‘Starfish’), Sand Dollars, Snapping Shrimps, Sea Cucumbers and more. The gentle waves carry a slurry of zoo and phytoplankton, the main source of food for many of these fascinating creatures. Join us in this reef walk to experience it all!
